This web-site started as a collection of my C++/MFC articles. Over the years, it got enhanced (using the word loosely) with blogs, photos, and other non-C++ Microsoft technology content. In this latest incarnation, I intend to keep it as simple as possible, and this was primarily achieved by keeping my blog on the WordPress site, and my collected articles on The Code Project.
Who am I?
I am a C++/.NET developer living in central Ohio with my wife Smitha and son Rohan. See my About page for more information.
Current dev environment
My primary desktop is a reasonably outdated but still fairly decent Intel Core i7 2.67GHz with 12 GB memory running 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate. My primary laptop is an Intel Core i7 with 16 GB memory and dual disks (SSD + 7200) running 64-bit Windows 7 Business. I use Visual Studio 2010 as far as I possibly can, and my primary dev languages are C++ and C#. There are too many desktops/laptops/monitors lying around the house, so I'd rather not document them all. Despite my wife's cynical comments, I do have uses for all of them.
I don't have a Facebook profile and I do not use Twitter either. I am neither proud of or ashamed of these two facts. For a guy who spends most of his life writing code, I am fairly non-geeky I guess. Outside of programming, my interests include photography and mixing cocktails. As a family we also love to travel, specially road trips, and also like to try out new cuisines/restaurants.
This new version of the web site was quickly (and I mean really quickly) written using ASP.NET MVC 3. Once I get time, I may tweak the styles/theme to look a little less common, and may also add some radically awesome features that'll burn your eyes (or not).
