Extending MFC Applications with the .NET Framework
This is my first technical book and I co-authored it with Tom Archer (of Inside
C# fame). It was a great experience to
write a book with an eminent author like Tom as well as land up a contract with
a major publishing company like Addison Wesley. The best part of writing the book
was all the cool stuff I got to learn while I was working on the book.
The book aims to show MFC developers how to boost productivity by incorporating
.NET functionality into existing MFC applications. The book was written when the
old Managed C++ syntax was in use, and today, while the techniques covered in the
book may still apply, the syntax used is not compatible with VC++ 2005 or any later
VC++ compiler from Microsoft. [hence the new book]
